Sophie is one of the most popular career mentors  at Goldsmiths, University of London. Sophie makes an ideal mentor to young adults trying to find their pace in life. It was also interesting that several students who previously were aspiring to a career in finance in general, after meeting Sophie mentioned that they would like specifically a career in HR in finance, impressed by her own journey.

The mentorship scheme was great. The sessions were extremely useful and helped me have a better grasp on how to tackle the practical steps to reach my ideal career i.e. interviews, cv preparations, career paths etc, but I did not realise how valuable it would prove to be in helping me build confidence. During the sessions with my mentor, she was able identified all my strengths and weaknesses, particularities and insecurities encouraging me to embrace them and use them as they contribute to my uniqueness. She emphasised  that many employers are also focused on the unique qualities that each individual can add to the business and not just the knowledge and ability they possess. I am now so much more confident of my unconventional path and what I have to offer, and I have Sophie to thank for this. I would definitely recommend to everyone who is lacking confidence or just unsure about what to do next. I would love to continue being mentored by Sophie, I promised that I would keep in touch and so it will be x
